Parallel Session 1: Can I Pay for My Child's Education?

For parents of 0 - 12 years old

Speaker: Institute for Financial Literacy & MENDAKI Care Advisors

This talk aims to help you plan your family finances when starting a family, with an emphasis on government subsidies and tax benefits offered to help defray the cost of having children in Singapore.

Parallel Session 2: Parenting Through Play

For parents of 0 - 3 years old

Speaker: KKH General Paediatrician

Parenting through Play aims to enhance parents understanding of early childhood development through purposeful play. 

This workshop equips parents with practical tools and knowledge to support key developmental milestones and foster critical thinking skills using the MENDAKI Baby Playkit.

Parents will learn how to use the baby playkit to create meaningful interactions with their young children, establishing a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Parallel Session 3: I Learn Differently

For parents of 3 - 12 years old

Speaker: Dyslexic Association of Singapore (DAS)

Is your child struggling at school? Are they forgetting many things even after teaching them? Are you noticing that they lack the motivation to study? These can be signs of Dyslexia or a specific learning difference.

  • This session will explore what it means to learn differently, with a focus on dyslexia learning difference that affects reading, spelling, and writing.
  • Parents and educators will gain insights into understanding and recognising dyslexia, along with practical strategies for supporting children both at home and in the classroom.
  • Learn about the importance of embracing dyslexia and other learning differences, and discover how students, parents, and educators can be supported through the programmes and services offered at the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS).

Parallel Session 4: Raising a Generation of Champions

For parents of 4 - 6 years old

Know exactly what Full Subject Based Banding (FSBB) is, an effort by MOE whereby students learn each subject at the level that best caters to their overall strengths, interests and learning needs.

  • Full Subject-Based Banding (Full SBB) is part of MOE's ongoing efforts to nurture the joy of learning and develop multiple pathways to cater to the different strengths and interests of our students
